Each oral presentation slot is 20 minutes and will be followed by up to 5 minutes of questions. PowerPoint presentations are preferred. If you need to use an overhead projector or slides, please give us advanced warning (at least 2 weeks before the meeting) to ensure that the equipment is available for use.
For PowerPoint presentations please bring with you a copy of your presentation on a disc or memory stick saved for Microsoft PowerPoint (this is particularly important for Mac users to ensure compatibility with the conference centre computers). Please do not bring a laptop to run the presentation from, unless it is to demonstrate something that will only work on that laptop, e.g. piece of specialised software.
For anything other than a normal simple PowerPoint (e.g. embedded videos) the conference centre technicians will need advance warning (preferably two weeks before the meeting) and cannot guarantee success until the files are tested by them. Please contact us as soon as possible if you intend to use such material.
The large numbers of abstracts received and the venue layout means that each poster will only be displayed for one day of the conference and a poster session will take place each day.
Posters must not exceed A0 size (841 x 1189 mm) in portrait orientation. Fixing materials will be provided.
Poster presenters are asked to arrive promptly on the morning when their posters will be on display to ensure that there is enough time to put the posters.
Handouts in the form of A4/A3 copies of the poster are often appreciated by delegates.
